UKRag.net Team

Martin Smallridge
"Martin"

As the guy who started UKRag out of a desire to do anything except my disertation, I have the honour of overall responsibility for the site and the BIG decisions about its direction. My role now tends to be more developmental and working behind the scenes.

Sean Murricane
"seaneeboy"

Well, this site doesn't just run itself you know... I deal with a fair few of the day-to-day operations of the forums - organising, moderations and fiddling with the swear filter. I also make sure no one talks about anything relevant in the coffee lounge - works much better that way!! I'm a Barnardo's Charity Rep, and always happy to offer a point of view from that angle. Outside of work and UKRag, I direct and act in plays, play guitars and wait in my house for deliveries.

Dave Wood
"Big Dave"

Hiya, I'm David Wood (aka Big Dave), ex Notts Karni Hack(Sutton Bonington campus), and I'm a UKRag addict.
My goal is to make lovely little guides for all, well as near as can be got, the collecting spots in the UK (with the help of everyone else). This is done by distilling the information any one leaves in the UKRag.net guide to the UK forum, and to moderate where necessary. I also like to help out elsewhere if I can and if time allows!
Ebony
"EBBS"

I'm Ebony and I was involved in the world of RAG up in Aberdeen in various roles over my Student years, the key ones being Aberdeen College Convenor for the Aberdeen Students' Charaties Campaign and VP of RUGRAG at The Robert Gordon University. Now I don't get to events as often as I'd like thanks to still living up in Aberdeen and having a real grown up job (oh how I miss student discount!) but manage to still feel included thaks to being useful on here. I'm on hand to keep the place tidy and ensure that we all play nice with each other so feel free to give me a shout if you need anything

Dan Moody
"moodydaniel"

I'm Dan, I'm an old fart, coming as I do from Leicester Rag last century (official Tea Boy '94 - '97). Amongst other things this means I can remember when the 5p's weren't fiddly. I keep an eye on the Hacks forum (where the old sods can share memories, plan new misadventures, complain about house prices without boring the actual Raggies). I also try and act as host on the General Rag & Fundraising Discussion forum. I like lots of stuff, mostly involving prettiness/Rag/beer. The best involves all three (I miss Freshers weeks SO much).

Past Team Members

Lorna
"Lorna"

Lorna helped moderate on a few forums and kept things lively.

Helen
"hihelen"

Helen helped head a pilot project aimed at Sixth Forms and higher education colleges which aimed to encourage and support the setting up of charity committees in schools and sixth forms.

Alan Godfrey
"Leafy"

Alan was the one man "welcoming committee" for many years, offering support, technical help and a first point of contact to new members trying to find their way around the site.

Zippy
"zippy"

Zippy has been particularly active in the development of various project guides and tends to be a comprehensive resource for dealing with red tape.

Emerson Povey
"Emo"

Emerson remains active within the community albeit from a more backseat position now. His involvement has spanned various "how to.." guides' and he has helped enormously in the Guides area.

Absent Friends

Andy McCruden
"Useless"

Andy, sadly, died suddenly in 2007. He was a solid, calm individual who was a lynchpin in the development of the UKRag community. In his own words...

Me? I'm the third of the Sites three admin, if you've got something that needs done, chances are I can do it for you, What my offical role is in the running of the site is, no-one seems to know, my main function seems to consist mostly of providing back up sanity reserves for the other two admin, which suits me just fine, partly because I never use my sanity myself and partly because I'm a lazy megalomaniac.
