1. Access to and use of this site is
provided by UKRag.net (which is owned and operated by WebSnail.net)
subject to the following terms:
1.1 By accessing the UKRag.net website you
agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take
effect immediately on your first use of UKRag.net. If you do not
agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do
not access and/or use UKRag.net.
1.2 UKRag.net may change these terms at any time by posting
changes online. Your continued use of UKRag.net after posted
changes means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as
amended.
1.3 By accessing UKRag.net you agree to comply with all law
applicable in the United Kingdom (UK). To the extent that there
is any conflict between the requirements of these Terms of Use
and UK Law then UK Law shall prevail.
2. Use of UKRag.net
2.1 All content on UKRag.net is protected by
Copyright.
2.2 You may not use UKRag.net’s identifying names, images and
logos, or those of other third parties and their products and
services unless licensed to do so.
2.3 You may not use other UKRag.net content in any way except
for;
2.3.1 your own personal, non-commercial use, or
2.3.2 in order to aid any student society involved with the work
of Charities registered as such in the United Kingdom, or
2.3.3 any other use for which UKRag.net has granted prior
written permission.
2.4 Any use of these materials MUST accredit UKRag.net and the
author of the content.
3. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
3.1 UKRag.net content and services is provided "AS IS" and on an
"IS AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or any kind of
warranty made (whether express or implied by law), including the
implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular
purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.
3.2 UKRag.net will not be liable for any damages, including indirect
or consequential damages, or any damages arising from use or loss of
use, data or profits, whether in contract, negligence or other
tortuous action, arising from or in connection with the use of
UKRag.net.
3.3 UKRag.net does not warrant that functions contained in UKRag.net
content will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be
corrected, or that UKRag.net or the server that makes it available
are free of viruses or bugs.4. Contributions to UKRag.net
4.1 For these purposes a contribution refers
to any text, image or other data passed to UKRag.net for purpose
of display or communication in a private or public capacity.
This applies to (but is not limited to) posts made to the
forums, guides, calendar and gallery.
5. Registration Requirements
5.1 In order to contribute
to UKRag.net you must first register your details in order to
obtain a user account.
5.2 You may only register if you:
5.2.1 Are a student, or
5.2.2 Work in the education sector, or
5.2.3 Have previous involvement with student fundraising or
5.2.4 Are a charity professional
5.3 You must submit details of:
5.3.1 The Educational Institution/Charity/Company or other
organisation that most recently involved you in student
fundraising and the Town/City of your main residence where
different.
5.3.2 Your job role/position within/relating to student
fundraising.
5.4 Register with an appropriate email address:
5.4.1 Charity and related professionals must use their work
address to help protect against fraud and misrepresentation.
5.4.2 Students and all other users are recommended to use a
university or non-free service to avoid any potential delays in
registration whilst verification is sought.
6. Making your contributions legally
available to UKRag.net
6.1 You agree to contribute
to UKRag.net only for purposes lawful in the UK and those laws
applicable to your present location.
6.2 You agree to only contribute materials to which you have the
copyright or other permission to distribute electronically. You
may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third
parties including copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy,
publicity, personal or proprietary rights. By submitting your
contribution to UKRag.net, you:
6.2.1 warrant that your contribution is your own original work
or that you have other permission to make it available to
UKRag.net for all the purposes specified above; and
6.2.2 indemnify UKRag.net against all legal fees, damages and
other expenses that may be incurred by UKRag.net as a result of
your breach of the above warranty; and
6.3 You grant UKRag a perpetual non-exclusive license to
distribute, promote and publish your contribution for the
purposes of encouraging and improving fundraising, either;
6.3.1 As a document on a particular subject alongside other
user's contributions,
6.3.2 Or as a separate document in its own right;
6.3.3 You grant UKRag permission to produce these documents
worldwide in print or through electronic medium.
6.4 You retain your intellectual copyright, and your
contribution will always be acknowledged.
7. House Rules for the UKRag.net community
7.1 In addition to abiding by UK law you agree to make
contributions in accordance with the following House Rules:
7.1.1 Harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene,
profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise
objectionable material (likely cause distress or inconvenience to
any person) is not acceptable;
7.1.2 Do not post multiple contributions of identical (or
substantially similar) content across different areas of UKRag.net;
7.1.3 Do not promote events, companies or products irrelevant to
student fundraising;
7.1.4 Do not contribute in languages other than English or Welsh;
7.1.5 You may not contribute any other individuals email addresses,
phone numbers or addresses in public forum;
7.1.6 Please note a contribution is deemed "off-topic" when the
content has drifted too far from the topic of discussion and is
hindering that discussion or is otherwise disrupting the normal flow
of dialogue within UKRag.net. Topics deemed off-topic are liable to
be split, moved into a more appropriate area of the site or removed
from public view.
7.1.7 Do not contribute if you're under 16 and;
7.1.7.1 do not have your parents' permission; or
7.1.7.2 wish to reveal any personal information about yourself;
7.2 Moderation decisions should not be discussed in public forums
7.3 If you feel unfairly treated, follow the grievance procedure.
Numerous unsubstantiated claims using the grievance procedure may be
considered harassment.8. Moderation Decisions
8.1 Although UKRag.net reserves the right to delete any
contribution, at any time, without notice or explanation, UKRag.net
moderators will usually move or delete contributions only where they
consider the contribution to run contrary to the Terms and
Conditions. Where such decisions are made, UKRag.net will endeavour
to explain the decision to the contributor.
8.2 If you feel you have been unfairly treated, you must follow the
grievance procedure as laid out in
this document.
9. Feedback
9.1 There are two forms of feedback available to users of
UKRag.net:
9.2 The public forum is available to all those who wish to suggest
improvements to the service, and for opinions regarding current
facilities.
9.3 A private account only open to UKRag.net Administrators is
available for more private matters. This should be used to discuss
issues with moderation decisions, or any other conversation that
does not belong in public forum. It is accessible by sending an
email to “feedback@ukrag.net”. It will not be used in public forum
and the discussions will be kept confidential between the sender and
UKRag.net’s Administrators.10. If you breach these Terms of Use:
10.1 If your account was created without meeting UKRag.net’s
registration requirements, or if it was used to make contributions
in breach of these Terms and Conditions, it may be deleted (along
with any associated contributions) without warning, providing no
contribution of value to the student fundraising community has been
made from said account.
10.2 If your account has previously made a valued contribution and
is subsequently used to make contributions in breach of these Terms
and Conditions you will be formally warned by email. This warning
may also include a temporary suspension of the ability to contribute
to UKRag.net.
10.3 If after this warning your account continues to breach these
terms, you will be prohibited from contributing to UKRag.net for an
extended period.
10.4 If you make significant or repeated contributions of material
to UKRag.net that are illegal, offensive or inappropriate, you will
be reported to the relevant legal authorities and/or relevant third
parties (such as any companies whose assets were used to make the
contribution). Contributions such as (but not limited to) posting
pornography or inciting racial hatred would constitute this form of
breach.
